Local plans and YOU!
One important thing that everyone of you can do is be involved in your local level elections, including the Republican Primaries. However you need to be involved in local "strategic plans" by your local towns, townships, counties, cities and regional planning commissions. The reason this is true is because as people get out of dystopian blue states and/or blue cities, along with purple areas, we need to make sure that the areas we are coming to won't change for the worst at the local levels. To be clear, although my family and I have many reasons for not returning to Virginia, we were hoping that Virginia would get a trifecta, however, the reality of the situation is that it wasn't possible. In any case, what I want to write about today is ways that you can get involved to fortify your local area now, regardless of whether or not there are local or other level elections.
First, it is important to know that most localities have planning commissions. We need grassroots conservatives on these local planning commissions. One reason is because we can have more areas of low density growth. Rather than building cookie cutter homes, low density growth allows the area to be preserved and allows people of goodwill to come to the area without it changing. Basically, it allows people to do what my family and I did by getting out of one area and moving to another. Even if you live in a "red" area, it is vitally important for your area to be involved on local planning commissions.
You should also consider whether there are any "growth plans' or other "Strategic initiatives" that may or may not be part of that planning commission. Rather than being part of a Church and/or a conservative or other vetted out group, these large organizations may be one in which your local planning commission is collaborating with. Unfortunately, they may use "nice" sounding words however it is not the case. Be aware of what organizations your local area may be involved with and take part in participation and sharing what is going on with your family, friends and neighbors.
