Indiana and what comes next.
Overview:
Recently, Trump-endorsed Mike DeWine was in the news as vetoing good conservative legislation. Remember, this is the same guy that in 2020 going into 2021, told families of all ages not to gather in separate households, and wanted misdemeanor charges for people who violated his "COVID curfews". While DeWine is term limited in 2026, there is something going on in Indiana that you all deserve to know about. RINO Governor Eric Holcomb is term limited this year. This is the same guy that worked with Gretchen Whitmer and DeWine on cringe videos during 2020 into 2021. Of course, you also have the dangers of Chicago and Illinois to the West. This is why, in this year of 2024, it is crucial to replace Holcomb with a true conservative. In 2022, Holcomb vetoed HEA 1041, good legislation that protected girls sports. Fortunately, the General Assembly convened and overrode the veto in a similar way to what the Ohio General Assembly will do to the DeWine veto. Holcomb also caused Mary Beth Bonaventura to resign her position as DCS director in 2017 because of Holcomb's way of governing. She rightfully protested his policies. For anyone not familiar with her, she was also a judge for the Lake County, IN Superior Court and was involved in the juvenile system. She was first appointed by governor Evan Bayh in 1993. She served in that judicial position until 2013. It should also be noted, she served as an interim judge in Marion County in 2022 after he resignation as DCS direction in 2017.
Today's guest post writer is a resident of Indiana, great friend and political connection of mine Ayden Marietta. We also want to make it clear, there are good people in our respective states of Indiana and Tennessee, who will always have our full support. There are simply many reasons for us leaving our respective states to Florida.

As a lifelong resident of Indiana, a born and raised Hoosier,
things have really gone downhill over the last eight years. With Eric
Holcomb in charge, you would think that things are not as bad as they
would seem. All you must do is come up to the Hoosier state and see for
yourself. As somebody who was born and raised in this state, a lot of
things have happened in my lifetime. Once Upon a time we used to have a
democratic governor. Soon we had the leadership of Mitch Daniels who was
excellent as governor. We got to have him for eight years and a lot of
us wanted him to be president of the United States. Unfortunately, he
chose not to run. When Mike Pence became governor, we didn't see a lot
of the same energy but still had good results even with four years as a
governor. Unfortunately, all of that would go downhill when Eric Holcomb
took office. The first 2 1/2 years or so actually we're OK. He kept
some taxes low, but it would all go downhill when he decided to
implement a gas tax increase which goes up every single year and is
crushing when it comes to people who are having a hard time financially.
This was especially apparent when Biden became president, and the gas
prices went nuts. However, nothing compares to the coronavirus coming to
our doorsteps. Holcomb took the easy way out and shut down the state
comma churches comma businesses comma and our livelihoods. He even
suggested that people who did not want to wear a mask should go to jail
for six months and be charged for a Class B misdemeanor. Thankfully my sheriff as well as they had law enforcement officers of all 92
counties came out and said they would not enforce it.
With his second
term it's only gotten worse. No longer is Indiana a red state but it is
now a haven for left wing lunacy. It started when Holcomb decided to
veto a bill to protect women's sports which should be common sense.
Instead, he caved to the Indiana based NCAA and did their bidding thankfully for the Indiana General Assembly who overrode the veto and made
protecting women's sports the law of the land. I will give Holcomb where
credit is due when he signed a 15-week abortion ban which I supported.
However, actions speak louder than words and his lack of further action on this and lack of action on
important issues such as taxes, medical freedom, and basic conservatism
have been nothing but disastrous. Thankfully he only has one year left
and soon we will hopefully get a better person as governor.
Right now,
my current candidate of choice is Mike Braun who I think has been the
best candidate out of all of the choices. I will also give Eric Doden
credit for leading a good platform as well however I think both would be
an effective team running together as governor and Lieutenant governor
respectively. While I will certainly be happy to see Governor Braun lead
the way to making Indiana a true red state, Holcomb 's actions have led
me to have no choice but to leave the state. It will take a while for
Indiana to become more affordable and freer. People like Donald Trump
enabled Holcomb to get away with crap like this which has led me to
support a man like Ron DeSantis to be our next president. When I move to
Florida, I will not look back, but I will always visit the state of
Indiana. I feel blessed with the time I had growing up in the Hoosier
state but it's a shame that it had to come to this. I guess you can call
me a future red state refugee to a solidly red state. I think Indiana will have a bright future with what comes next. We just have to make the right choice for this election.
